Scouts worked on advancements, played games, and practiced for the relay race for next week. Over the weekend some Scouts went to the Aviation Day at the South Bend Airport and got free airplane rides and earned the Aviation badge. Try to go next year if you missed this one! William Bacon, Jack Hirsch, and Nathan Sparkman got their street signs from the city council today!
The Troop needs branches and logs 3-4” thick and really long: up to and well over 6 feet for some pioneering projects. Please bring them to the shed if you have any at home.

August 21, 10am - 4pm Emmet Lorenz Eagle Scout project at Upton Middle School
I'm planning my second work day for the 21st of August. We will be mulching and raking the trails, and long pants and gloves might be needed again. I'm thinking 10-4 again, but we probably won't need that much time. There is mulch at the school, so people will need to bring rakes and wheelbarrows if they can fit in their cars. Otherwise, we'll just be mulching. I'd like as many people as possible to come, because the faster the better. There will be food and water as well. Meet at the tennis courts behind the school.
August 21, Park in grass for regular meeting
We will meet on the front lawn of the Church while the parking lot is resurfaced. All adults that are going to Philmont should attend for a Philmont meeting (details below). We will practice relay skills.
