Meeting Activities
Scouts finished the Totin' Chip, worked on advancements, and played frisbee. Scouts should start working on their prerequisites for camp merit badges. Mr. Hill is ready to sign off and give you the forms you need to take to camp. Some of these need a month of activity (Nature), or to attend or grow something, so start them now.

Scouts need to stay out of the main floor of the church. You can come in and leave that way but don't go there any other time, use the restrooms on the basement level.

Tent Set Up Season is here!
The tracker for tent setups is available at the link below.  It’s one of the main fundraisers for the troop for the year.  It can be very lucrative for the kids.  The first rental should be this weekend (We’re still working on setting it up, but they reached out to us). Please find the link in your email or from another person.

We’ll also have a signup for the triathlon parking coming out soon.

May 29th, No meeting for Memorial Day!
Enjoy time with your families.

June 5th, regular meeting time: Elections!
Apply for the positions you want and vote on June 5th.

Silas Lorenz’ Eagle Court of Honor Friday, June 16, 2023

Summer Camp at Camp Rotary: Week of July 23-29, 2023, Badge selection is open!
Fill out the “SummerCamp23” form and bring it with payment if you haven’t already! We want to get our deposits and badge selections in ASAP, since the selection window is open and some badges are already full. See other attached files for badge options and the sheet to list your selections. If you already paid, check the guardian’s email for a message from Mr. Hill or Mr. Lorenz with your link to update Scout info. After clicking on update info, scroll down and you can start selecting sessions (easier to do from a computer). Each Scout has a different link so be sure you are using the matching link for the right Scout and that auto correct/fill doesn’t put in a parent’s name where the Scout’s should be (totally not speaking from experience, oops, but easily fixable.) Just be careful not to unselect your wanted session by mistake and losing your slot. You can click “Done” any time and come back and fix anything needed later.

Please see attached links and files for more camp info. https://scoutingevent.com/272-crsbsarc2023

Thursday May 18, 5pm: Help Mrs. Rice move boxes
1433 Glenwood Drive in St. Joseph
Some of you may remember Mr. George Rice.  He was an Eagle Scout and a huge supporter of both Scouting and our Troop.  He was the main reason the Elks Lodge was so supportive of Scouts in the area.  He passed away in December of 2021.  He did a lot for both Scouting in general, and our Troop in particular.  We have an opportunity to give back to his family one last time.  His widow, Sue, has sold their house and is moving on with her life, but she needs some help.  She has a moving pod in her driveway that she needs boxes moved into.  Silas has suggested, and she accepted, May 18th at 5pm as a time for the Troop to go and help her with this.  She only asked for a couple of Scouts, but I’d really like to put maximum effort into this.  So as many Scouts as can participate would be great in my eyes.  If we end up with one Scout per box, that’s great because we’ll get done really fast.  Please plan to join us at 1433 Glenwood Drive in St. Joseph.

Sunday, May 21, 5-7:30pm: Mackinac practice
All Mackinac attendees have mandatory training coming up May 21st. You need to bring filled out paperwork and wear your full uniform. Please check emails from Mr. Lorenz for details.

OA Camporee was canceled.

Tent Set Up Season is coming!
We already have reservations filling up for May 28, June 10, 11, 17, etc. Stay tuned for sign ups!
