Highlights from tonight's meeting:
~Organization speech from Mr. Sparkman.  Asked parents to consider helping with the planning, etc of troop activities.  Many of the current leaders have scouts who will be aging out soon.

~Talked about the different summer camps this past year.  Tamarack, Pioneer, Mackinac Honor guard and Philmont.

~Talked about next year's high adventure camp.  Boundary Waters.  Still a few spots available.  If interested, see Mr. Merle or Mr. Shepard.  No merit badges to earn here except for the 50 mile canoeing award.

~Talked about the OA ordeal.  Two boys just completed their ordeal this past weekend.

~awards were passed out to scouts followed by pizza and snacks.

~If you still have a tent from the summer camps, please return them at our next meeting.  We are still missing quite a few and need them back to be ready for our fall camp outs.

~Pack 623 is looking for a few scouts to come and help them run cub mobile races at their meeting from 6:30-7:15.  It will be a the Lincoln gym.  If you are interested in helping, let Mrs Marquardt know so she can get you in touch with the coordinator who has reached out to our team.
 
Next meeting is on Monday October 2nd at 7:00.

~Court of Honor - Parents, please come and celebrate the accomplishments of the boys.  They have been working hard this summer at camp!  Pizza will be provided by the troop.  The boys need to bring the following:

~ Brainstormed about Merit Badges.  Talked about the idea of holding our own Merit Badge University
