Highlight's from tonight's meeting:
~Talked about the brat fry and how scouts earn money for their scout accounts if they work shifts.  Please sign up for a shift or 2 or 3 - We could use a few more adult volunteers also.
~ Scouts broke into 2 groups and one group worked on an orienteering requirement with Ms. Burrow and the other group worked on a citizenship requirement with Ms. Demeulenaere.  Thank you both!

Next Week:
~ 9/1-9/2 brat fry fundraiser (don't forget to sign up for a shift!)  This is an easy fundraiser to earn money for dues, camps, etc.
~ no meeting on Monday due to Labor Day

~ 9/10/18 scout meeting
~ 9/11/18 committee meeting - all parents are welcome!

Next Week:
~ 8/27/18 meeting will be at Riverview Park.  Scouts should wear their class B's.  The boys will be working on a couple requirements for First Class rank.  They will be working on either 4a or 9a.  If the scout will be working on the 1 mile orienteering (4a), they need to bring a compass.

~ 9/1-9/2 Brat Fry fundraiser - Here is the link to sign up to volunteer to help with the Brat Fry.  If you try to sign up using your phone, you will need to have google sheets on your phone to be able to edit. Scouts will earn money for their scout accounts.  Please sign up on the Brat fry tab.  We are not going to do the ice sales this year.  There is also a place for adult volunteers.

~ 9/11/18 Committee meeting moved to 2nd Tuesday because of school starting.  All adults are welcome!

Highlights from tonight's meeting:
~ Zack Arrans reported on his experience at the NOAC retreat.
~ Philip Marquardt reported on summer camp.  The boys won the Baden Powell award and Camp-wide Games award.  Great job boys!   The Leaders would like to thank Dave Wooley who came as a parent and stayed for most of the week, Beth Christy for transporting to camp and Shawn & Tricia Mathis who not only drove boys to and from camp, but they also came on Wednesday for Parent's night.  Thanks again to everyone!
~ Mr. Hill talked about possibly having access to some land through the Coloma Rod and Gun Club.  They are turning some land into a camp for local scouts to use.

~ Triathlon fundraiser is this weekend.  Please follow the link below for the volunteer signup sheet. Please only sign up for one day to start to make sure everyone has a chance to volunteer.  
This is one of the biggest fundraisers for the scouts and those that volunteer will earn money for their scout account which can be used to pay for summer camps and yearly registration.
