Highlights from tonight's meeting:
~ We welcomed our first girl to the troop, Cydney Bacon.  Welcome Cydney!
~ talked about the Klondike camp out and how it works.  Both patrols ended up being tied in gold nuggets.  Because of Blake Bacon bringing his mess kit to the campout, it gave his patrol another nugget for the win.  Blake was prepared when there was not paper products available. 
~ talked about summer camp at Camp Black Hawk at the Owasippe Scout reservation.  (It is next to Camp Gerber)  Summer camp will be from 7/14-7/20.  Payment will be due soon.  If you are planning on going to summer camp, you must turn in what merit badges you are planning on taking by the next meeting on April 8th.  Mr. Hill had some copies of the merit badges available.  If you did not take a copy, you can find the list on our website.
~ We have a troop website where you can find the forms and dates for events.  The website is www.bsatroop623.com
~ when you request a scoutmaster's conference to advance to the next rank, you will have to go to the troop website and print the worksheet that corresponds to the rank you are seeking.  You need to fill out the worksheet and bring it with you to your scoutmaster conference.
~ Troop elections will be held at the meeting on Monday April 15th.
~ talked about Blossomtime parade.  We would like to have a nice turnout of scouts to walk in the parade so if you are not in a band please plan on walking with the scouts. 
~ Friends of Scouting was at the meeting and talked about how much it takes to support a scout, etc.  If you would like to help support the Friends of Scouting and need a pledge sheet, let us know.

Announcements:
~ Applications to be placed on the ballot for Troop leadership positions are due on Monday 3/25 at the Court of Honor
~ Court of Honor will be held Monday night (3/25) at 7:00.  Please plan on attending to help celebrate the hard work the scouts have been doing this winter.  Scouts with last name A-L are to bring snacks and M-Z are to bring drinks.
~ K Wings hockey game this Saturday!  The doors will open at 6:00.  The scouts need to wear their class A uniform.  There is a $5 per vehicle parking fee which is cash only.

~ High adventure canoeing trip of the Manistee River is being planned. Sign ups will be next Monday March 11th
~ Boys are looking into going to an Escape Room.  Sign ups will be next Monday, 3/11, for those who are interested. 
~  If you missed the Mackinac Honor Guard sign up, there are still spots left so if you are interested, see one of the leaders.
~  Committee meeting tomorrow night, 3/6 at 7:00.  All parents are welcome to attend.
~ 3/25/19 - next Court of Honor.  All completed blue cards need to be turned in by Monday 3/11 to be included in this COH.
