Highlights from last night's meeting:
~ talked about summer camp and the patrol campout. Congratulations to Rosemary, Elena, Eddie, Kevin and Matthew who earned their Totin' Chip and Firem'n Chit at the patrol campout.
~ Philmont practice hike this weekend at Yankee Springs State Park
~ worked on advancements
~ Congratulations to following scouts who had their Board of Review and achieved their next rank: John Norland-Life, Silas Lorenz-Star, Blake Bacon-Second Class
~ Pack 607 will be crossing over to Scouts soon.
~ Next tent rental will be at the end of the month. Mr. Sparkman will send out a message when the details are finalized.
Adult help needed! We need someone to take over recording the advancements, camps, etc for the troop. My son decided to join a different troop with his friends and that troop meets at the same time as this troop. It has worked out for me to continue to help through the summer but now that in person meetings are starting it is hard to be in both spots and our scouts deserve to have someone at the meeting every week. (This was the reason I took over the position a few years ago!) It has also been mentioned that our current treasurer would be willing to move over to the advancement chair if someone would rather take over the treasurer position. If either of these positions sound of interest to you, please let us know as soon as possible.
