Color Guard on 5/20 and 5/22
The Troop has been asked to perform a color guard ceremony for the Michigan Exchange Club District Convention on Saturday, May 22, 2021.  The location of the convention is Inn at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor.  The meeting is at 9:30 am and they want the color guard to begin this meeting by presenting the colors and leading the Pledge of Allegiance. 
Several Scouts expressed interest in doing this.  A rehearsal will be held on Thursday, May 20th at 7 pm at the Church.  Please plan on coming to the rehearsal if you are interested in doing this.

PLC Meeting on June 1st
The Troop is going to try a different approach to PLC meetings.  PLC meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of the month starting June 1rst.  The goal is to plan all of the Troop meetings for June at this meeting.  The time will be 5:30 to 7 pm.

Week Long Summer Camp (July 11th-July 17th)
If there’s still anyone who wants to go to camp, we can register more, but at the higher rate of $335.  Adults are $115. 
 
All those signed up for the week long camp 11-17 July should be looking at the merit badge options for camp.   Merit badge selections need to be entered as soon as possible to ensure the kids get what they want.  Start planning to get health forms and look at the pre-camp swim tests.

Any adults going that are not registered.... we need you to register as Adult Volunteer and do Youth Protection Training ASAP.

Weekend Summer Camp (July 23rd-25th)
The Troop is also planning on sending a group on Scouts to a weekend summer camp at Camp Tamarack.  The dates for this offering are July 23rd-25th.  Please contact Sarah Burrow if you are interested in attending.

Merit Badge Counselors
The troop is in need of merit badge counselors. 
If you are interested in becoming a merit badge counselor, talk to Mr. Sparkman or Mr Langlois to get the forms to sign up.

Meeting Activities
Scouts worked on planning patrol outings and advancements and also had a tent race competition between patrols. 
Promotions
Colin Peek, Ana Ellett, Jordyn Haney and Scarlett Schmidtman were all promoted to the rank of Scout.

Philmont Car Wash Fundraiser
There will be a car wash fundraiser for the Philmont High Adventure trip on Saturday, May 15th.  The car wash will be held from 10 to 2 at the First Congregational Church.  Please consider supporting these Scouts by coming to the Church and getting your car washed.

PAYMENT WAS DUE FOR THE WEEK LONG CAMP ON MAY 3RD.
If you haven’t paid for camp yet, please let Mr. Sparkman or Mr. Lorenz know when you can make the payment.
