Highlights from Monday’s meeting:
~ Scouts learned how to put up the “easy up” tent
~ Worked on rank advancements
~ Will Bacon gave a speech/presentation on oceanography
~ Played Ultimate Frisbee

Announcements:
~ The troop will be ordering Class B shirts next month and are looking for ideas and designs from the scouts.  Our troop is 100 years old and we would like that incorporated into the design.  The front of the shirt will be the same and will be for the troop (the girls can be different as they are their own troop now 1623) and the back of the shirts will be for the patrols.
Please submit t-shirt designs to Mr. Hill and Mr. Sparkman by Oct 5th.
 
~ The committee will be determining amount of dues at the next committee meeting on October 6th. 
 
~ Emmett Lorenz received his Star rank.  Congratulations Emmett!
 
Next week:
~Physical fitness will start for new scouts below the rank of Tenderfoot.  Those scouts should wear running shoes to the next meeting.

Highlights from Monday’s meeting:
 
~ Had a Crossover ceremony for the Arrow of Light scouts from Pack 607.  Welcome to the Troop Joshua, Austin, Nathan & Ethan!
~ Scouts practiced setting up the pop up and dining fly.
~ Philmont scouts and leaders had a meeting about the upcoming campout this weekend.
~ Worked on rank advancements

~ Older scouts showed how to set up the kitchen boxes and grills.
~ Talked about the difference between  propane and white gas.
~ Worked on rank advancements.
~ Had 2 scouts earn their next rank.  Dylan Walsh earned his Star rank and Elena Walsh earned her Tenderfoot rank.

Announcements:
~ No meeting next Monday due to the Labor Day holiday.
~ Committee meeting Tuesday Sept 8th at 7:00 at the Church by the shed.  Every parent is welcome to attend.  We will be discussing the fees for the next year.
~ Currently there are no more tent setups.
