Service opportunities:
~ 8/7/19 - Elk's Veteran's Fishing excursion - The Elk's Lodge is looking for some scouts to help with the Veteran's annual fishing trip.  The scout will be going out with the veterans on their fishing trip.  They will be out on the lake for the majority of the day so if they get sea sick this probably won't be for them.  :)  We will also need a few adults to go with them.  There was a signup sheet so ask your scout if they signed up.  I am not sure what the time was and will get that information for the next Scout Master minutes.
~ 8/10/19 - Blue Star Mothers are looking for help with packing care packages for the troops.  The packing will be at Orchards Mall at 9:30am.  Scouts should go in Door 4 by Carson's.  If you have any questions or need a ride, please contact Mary Wilder.  This opportunity will be for a couple hours.

Announcements:
~ We had another scout earn his Eagle rank during the Mackinac Honor Guard.  Congratulations Gamal Guild!
~ Next week, PLC meeting at 6:30 and regular meeting at 7:00.  Mr. Hill will not be at the meeting due to Band Camp.
 

Highlights from tonight's meeting:
~ the scouts took down a tent
~ reviewed Leave No Trace as it applies to all Scout activities
~ worked on knots
~ set up some of the old Eureka tents to assess what repairs they need.

Upcoming:
~ 7/6-7/13 - Mackinac Honor Guard
~ 7/14-7/20 - Summer camp at Camp Blackhawk - Health forms were due tonight.  If you have not turned them in to Mrs. Burrow, please contact her and arrange a time. A scout will not be able to attend camp if they don't have a current health form turned in to Mrs. Burrow.

Tent rental help needed
Set-up on July 5th and take down on July 7th. If anyone is available to help, please contact Mr. Dansfield. He needs one or two more adults and a few scouts.

There will NOT be a Committee meeting this month.  Next Committee meeting will be 8/6 at 7:00.
There will NOT be a scout meeting for the next 2 weeks due to Mackinac and summer camp.  Next scout meeting will be on 7/22.
