Highlights from Monday's meeting:
~ Friends of Scouting visited and talked about what they do
~ Mr. Shepard announced that he will be turning over the Scoutmaster position to Mr. Hill.  With Mr. Hill taking over the duties of the Scoutmaster, we are in need of a treasurer.  If you are interested, please contact Mr. Shepard or Mr. Hill.
~ talked about summer camp and saw pictures of past summer camps.  We will be going to Camp Frontier, Pioneer OH again this summer.  It will be July 29-Aug 4.  If this week is not good for you, we will also be going to Camp Tamarack from June 26-July 1.  
~ presented the Polar Bear awards and rockers to the scouts and adults that attended the Klondike Derby.  Announced that Patrol 1 won the derby by 3 nuggets.
~ had our Court of Honor ceremony for the ranks and merit badges that have been completed
 
Next scout meeting will be on April 9th.

~ We need to know if you are going to Museum of Science and Industry by 3:00 pm Wed March 14th. We need 7 more boys to sign up or it will have to be cancelled. Please email Mrs. Essig at [email protected] or call her at 269-470-6870
~ Thursday March 15th, Pack 623 will be having their crossover ceremony.  We need scouts to help with the ceremony and welcome these boys to Boy Scouts.  Please be at the church by 6:00 pm if you can help.

Highlights from last night's meeting:
~ talked about the upcoming election and the different leadership positions.  Applications are due on Monday March 12th.  The scout can apply for up to 4 positions.  If you apply for more than 1 position, please rank your positions.  If you will not be at the meeting, make sure to email your application to Mr. Shepard or Mr. Hill by Monday.

~ Mr. Sparkman brought up another fundraising opportunity to think about.  It is providing the parking for the Senior PGA that will be on Memorial weekend.  It would be in the same location as our triathlon fundraiser.  Please let us know if you are interested and willing to help.  Scouts that participate will earn money for their scout account which can be used to help pay for summer camp.

~ all adults leaders need to take the updated Youth Protection training before Oct 9th regardless on whether your current training is expiring or not.  We would like to have all the training done by the beginning of summer.  Once you have completed the training, please make sure to forward the certificate to me so I can get it recorded in our database.

Announcements:
~  Mr.Dansfield is looking for a head count of scouts who will be able to walk in the Blossomtime Parade with the scouts.  The parade is on May 5th so take a look at your calendar and let Mr. Dansfield know if you are available to walk with the scouts.
~  Mackinac Court of Honor needs a few more scouts for this year so they have opened it up to include second class scouts with Scout Master's approval.  If you would like more information or an application, please contact Brian Jeske.
