Meeting Activities
Scouts emptied the trailer from Scout Camp and got the advancements they earned at camp signed off.
 
NEXT WEEK’S MEETING (7/26)
Next week’s meeting will be a service project.  The Troop will be meeting at the home of Mr. Rice to do yardwork.  The project will run from 7 to 8:30 pm.  Scouts should come dressed in weather appropriate work clothes and should bring gloves and water.  

Campouts in August and October
The PLC is currently planning two troop campouts in the coming months:
August 20-22 at Lawless County Park (near Cassopolis)
October 1-3 at a location that is to be determined.
 
Many adult volunteers are needed for these events to be fun and successful.  Adults volunteers will be needed to drive, camp with the troop, pull the trailer, buy food, etc.  A google sheet will be put together and sent out in the next few days.
 
Scout Master Conference Sheets
A number of the younger Scouts finished rank requirements as part of the T-2-1 program at summer camp.  These Scouts need to have Scout Master Conferences to be promoted.

PLC Meetings
The next PLC meeting is scheduled for August 10th.  The meeting will run from 5:30 to 7 pm.  Food will be provided for those who attend.
 
Merit Badge Counselors
The troop is in need of merit badge counselors.
If you are interested in becoming a merit badge counselor look at the options on the list at this link.  Talk to Mr. Sparkman or Mr. Langlois to get the forms to sign up.

Meeting Activities
Scouts worked on First Aid skills and advancements.
 
Fundraiser at ZOUP on 7/13/2021
A fundraiser has been set-up for the Philmont Scouts on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 5 to 8 PM.  Proceeds will be used to pay for the Class-B T-shirts.  You will need to bring (or show) the attached flyer.
 
Drew Christy’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor
 An Eagle Scout Court of Honor will be held on July 20th at 7pm at the Church. 

PLC Meetings
The next  PLC meeting is scheduled for August 10th.  The meeting will run from 5:30 to 7 pm.

Weekend Summer Camp (July 23rd-25th)
The Troop is also planning on sending a group on Scouts to a weekend summer camp at Camp Tamarack.  The dates for this offering are July 23rd-25th.  Please contact Sarah Burrow if you are interested in attending.
 
Merit Badge Books
The Troop is currently taking inventory on its Merit Badge booklets.  Please return any Troop booklets that you are no longer using or need.
