We will be migrating to virtual meetings via Zoom as we weather the current Covid situation.

DUES
Thanks to the fundraising by the troop over the summer, we were able to reduce the troop fees to $0, but we still need to contribute to the national and council organizations to support the overall camps and content that we use. Dues are $126 per scout and $54 per adult leader. Funds acquired by tent fundraising have been added to Scout accounts and can be used to cover this - let the Treasurer (Orrin Lorenz) know if you want that option. Also, you can pay by mailing a check (payable to Troop 623), dropping a check during 'drive by office hours' next week, or on-line (a ~3% fee will be added). The Troop DOES NOT want money to be a limiting factor for youth participation, if you are having trouble during these difficult times, contact the treasurer or any committee member. Thank you.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Drive Thru hours for the Troop will be from 6-7 pm on November 17 and 18th. Parents who wish to make payments for dues or order class – B uniforms can provide payment to the Troop this way. The drive thru location will be the Scout shed at the Church.
Leave raking at the Church is still scheduled for the morning of Saturday, Nov 14th. We are going to be working in shifts to reduce the number of people in close proximity. You can sign up for a shift at the link that was emailed.
The Thanksgiving Feast that was scheduled for Nov 20th through 22nd has been postponed.
Class B Uniforms
Class B orders can be placed online at the link that was emailed. If you prefer to pay with a cash or check, please bring the completed form and payment to the Drive Thru event. Please make checks payable to Troop 623. The class order form is attached. ALSO, there is still time to submit a Patrol emblem.
MERIT BADGES
The Troop is in need of adult volunteers for merit badge counseling. The Senior Patrol leaders have created a google survey to help gauge interest in adult volunteers. A link to the survey was emailed. There is a list of merit badges embedded in the form for review. Please note that completing the form is not obligating you to anything.
We are also considering the option of providing virtual merit badge training during the Monday night meetings. Obviously, some merit badges are not suitable for this, but there may be others that could be done virtually. Let us know if you think you could conduct a virtual merit badge.
Lastly, there are many Merit Badges that can be done from home. A link was emailed to a listing to help keep your Scout engaged.
